Passport Application Day & Scenes from Guangzhou
Every day we see changes in Eliza. She is very silly when we are in our room. Today we went to the park and saw many people dancing, singing, playing hacky sack, and interacting. Eliza is a hit with the locals (and us too!). Up until today Eliza has been easily overwhelmed in public but today she stayed calm and kept checking on us. When some of the locals talked to her she squealed at them as if to say "back off please". This afternoon we will apply for her Chinese passport. Every day we have an appointment and that gets us one step closer to bringing her home. We are glad to have time to bond with her without the busyness of everyday life. We are looking forward to being home with her. She is amazing--and very picky about who she accepts. She took to Daddy right away and me later. It was clear yesterday that she was missing her nanny. She and I cried together and since then she has accepted me more and every day gets better. Daddy gets a lot of smiles and laughs. He is pretty silly! This is an amazing journey. We definitely see God's hand in all that is going on. He is continually blessing us. What a gift Eliza is!

Glad to hear that Eliza's little personality is coming through more and more each day
O.K., now I'm really crying! I'm so glad that you are getting to spend some good time together and that she's smiling some.....what an amazing journey! You are both so amazing and soon she'll feel safe and reciprocate lots of love! I can't wait to see you all! Lots of love and prayers, Roxanne
Thanks for sharing how things are going and how she is taking to you. All to be expected, I'm sure! Hey! Love the white and purple onesie! ;) She looks great in it.
I LOVE the picture of the three of you (well, four counting the stoic dude with the camera). That is such a sweet picture!
Love and prayers! ~the other Amy
Congrats on your adoption! She's adorable! Great photos...brings back memories of the island!
Oohhh, more tears of joy! It's so wonderful to see her with you guys! And of course she's a silly girl, she's your daughter! God thought of all the little details when he made you Eliza's daddy and mommy!
