Happy Resurrection Day!

He is risen! We are so grateful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His sacrifice. We have had a great Easter weekend filled with Easter Egg Hunts, lots of good food, fellowship with our Church Family, and even a great movie (Horton Hears a Who is really good!).

Next week we head off to China to meet our new baby girl. This Easter season will always be remembered as the time God chose to bring our family together. These last few years of waiting have been filled with joy, longing, and emotional ups and downs. As much as we have gone through to adopt Eliza it is nothing compared to what God went through to adopt us into His family. We didn't have to sacrifice our son or die for other people's sin. The changes He asked us to go through and the softening of our hearts wasn't even done by us--He did it all. Words cannot express how much I love my Lord. Without a doubt it will be a joyous occasion when we finally have Eliza in our arms but it cannot compare to the joy in heaven when someone gives their life to Christ and is adopted into His family. We pray for the day when Eliza will accept His gift of eternal life. May we be parents who honor the Lord and teach our children to love Him deeply.

Eliza's Baby Shower

Yesterday's shower was wonderful. The only thing missing was Eliza. I really enjoyed to time we had to pray for Eliza, our trip, and many of our concerns about this exciting time. We are truly blessed with many amazing friends and family.

Emma and Faith and many of their friends were so excited about Eliza's gifts. It was sweet.

I have no words for the appreciation I feel for such an outpouring of support for our daughter and us. GOD IS SO GOOD!!!

Eliza's cake was so cute!!! Thank you Jamie for all of your hard work.

We are so looking forward to seeing our girl wear all of her new clothes.

Still No TA

Another week down and still now word. Please join us in praying that we will get our TA soon and be able to travel before April 15th. We want to travel before April 15th because there is a Trade Fair in Guangzhou the last part of April and we won't be able to travel during that time. We can overlap it a little at the beginning of the Trade Fair but we cannot arrive there during that time. Having to wait until May to get our girl is hard to imagine. We were hoping to know more by today but at this point the phone has not rang.

Please pray also for Eliza. That she will stay healthy and will adjust well when we do get her. Please pray that her remaining time in the orphanage will be good. Pray most of all that she will be united with her family soon. Pray also for our discouragement and worry in this matter. Thank you prayer warriors!

On a side note, our friends at church are throwing Eliza a shower tomorrow. I am hoping to post pictures of the happy occasion sometime on Sunday so keep checking.
